Meetings

Smitline can join a Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Google Meet meeting for you. It listens, speaks when someone asks it to, and afterwards your agent gets the decisions, action items and the transcript.

Send it to a meeting

Give your agent the invite link and what you need from the meeting:

Join https://zoom.us/j/1234567890 for me. It's the weekly launch review: listen for the new launch date and anything assigned to me.

Your agent writes a meeting brief, with channel set to meeting and the link as to:

{
  "channel": "meeting",
  "to": "https://zoom.us/j/1234567890",
  "objective": "Join the launch review for Sam and note the launch date and anything assigned to Sam.",
  "questions": ["What's the new launch date?"],
  "canDo": "look things up in Sam's project notes"
}

In the meeting

  • Smitline joins as Smitline and introduces itself as your AI assistant when it joins.
  • If the meeting has a lobby, it waits there until someone lets it in (status waiting).
  • It speaks when someone talks to it. With canDo in the brief, people can ask your agent for things through it, such as looking something up or making a change. See requests from the call.
  • Meeting audio is never recorded. Smitline transcribes the meeting so it can report back.

Afterwards

The result has the summary, decisions, action items, open questions and the full transcript, like a phone call. Whether the objective was met is judged only from what was said.

Good manners

Send Smitline only to meetings you're invited to, where you may bring an assistant, and tell the host. Some hosts and companies don't allow note-taking assistants. More in the calling rules.

A meeting uses your credit by the second while Smitline is in it: $10 covers about 80 minutes. See pricing and billing.
